This top mounted intercooler kit was specifically designed for the early model GU patrol models that came factory turbo but not factory intercooled. 
By the addition of intercooler we achieve a cooler inlet temperature and allow the ability to run a higher boost level and in turn more fuel making more power.

The EXTREME top mount by HPD is a great addition for those chasing mid-range power, anywhere between stock power levels right through to 150-160kw at the rear wheels whilst maintaining a stable inlet temperature and a stable AFR.

HPD’s 4WD intercooler kit for the Nissan Navara/ Pathfinder D40 2.5 turbo diesel has been designed with a larger core than factory and aluminium intercooler piping to eliminate the factory rubber hose’s that are known to “balloon” under load or acceleration causing delay in throttle response and lack of power due to split rubber hoses.

HPD’s intercooler kit comes with the prevision to bolt the OEM map sensor back onto the tank of the intercooler with CNC machined boost port to connect the map sensor hose onto.

High Performance Diesel are proud to introduce our new front mount intercooler upgrade for the D23 NP300 Navara twin turbo.
After testing the factory intercooler setup on the NP300 it became quickly evident that the intercooler was under rated for the performance of the YS23DDTT motor.
We set out to build a non invasive, direct fit intercooler with a HUGE capacity and no cutting or drilling.
What we developed has resulted in a direct bolt on kit with no irreversible modifications at all needed.
HPD has developed a charge pipe adaptor with a dual seal to eliminate any leaking issues that have become a hallmark of the factory intercooler system.

The Navara and Pathfinder STX 550 is a powerhouse in its own right with a 3.0ltr V6 Renault-built V9X motor putting out 170kw at the flywheel from factory. 
Shortly after the release of this vehicle a very apparent problem arose. The factory intercoolers would split away from where the end tanks would be pressed together with a o-ring between or crack the core within the first 100000kms causing boost leaking issues. On further inspection we found the factory intercooler to also be majorly restrictive and under engineered.
We set to delivering a solution to this problem and the HPD V6 Navara intercooler kit was born.
We designed a huge 600x300x76mm front mounted bar and plate core and wrapped it with 2 cast aluminium end tanks. Not only is this core going to have amazing thermal efficiency but the free flowing nature of a HPD core removed the restriction issue of the factory intercooler. 
Laser cut brackets and gussets were then TIG welded to the end tanks along with a billet CNC machined MAP sensor mount so that this cooler can be installed directly back on to the factory mounting points. Large aluminium mandrel bent piping was then added to compliment the quality and design of the rest of the intercooler kit.
Last we designed a Billet aluminium turbocharger adaptor to connect the whole kit to the factory turbo compressor housing.

Although Intercoolers will support cold charge air allowing a vehicle to be tuned to a higher power spec, rarely do they instantly produce detectable power with no other performance modifications or tuning. Well this kit will unleash up to a massive 11kw+ of power and even more with supporting modifications like an exhaust and remap tuning.

HPD designed this series 2 intercooler kit for one of the reason’s being that the factory turbocharger was know for failure of the front compressor wheel, which would end up in the engine resulting in major engine damage.
