    HPD Turbo upgrade kits are an excellent way to gain safe and reliable power and torque for your naturally aspirated 1hz 80 series land cruiser. 

    we use a Garrett turbocharger combined with braided oil and water lines, HPD manufactured CNC machined adaptor flanges and HPD custom manufactured 3" air intakes. 

    EXHAUST:
    This Turbo kit comes with a standard option of a custom HPD 2.5" dump pipe and full 2.5" straight through exhaust system. Should you be wanting to run a larger turbo than comes in our standard kit you may want to upgrade you exhaust to the 3" system to allow the vehicle to breath better due to the increased volume of air the motor will now be producing. If you are wanting to run your own exhaust you can select the 'no exhaust and dump pipe' option and the price will be adjusted accordingly.

    INTERCOOLING:
    Intercooling your turbo kit is important if you are looking to run  more that 8-10psi of boost. However which intercooler to choose depends on a couple of things.
    If you intend on towing a large load, live in a hot arid climate or decide to run a larger turbo option. Then we suggest you should run either of our series 2 intercoolers as they are bigger and capable of a larger volume of air with a higher thermal efficiency operating at these more aggressive conditions. Should you be looking to go from N/A to Turbocharged and not looking to push your vehicle past 120-125kw mark and are running our standard turbo option, Then a series 1 intercooler and 2.5" exhaust should be a good setup.

    EXHAUST:
    When we designed and built this turbo kit we designed and manufactured a CNC cut, mild steel T3 - T28 adaptor base plate design allowing us to run garret GT28 turbochargers for performance and reliability. 
    This setup is complimented with a custom HPD 3” dump pipe with an EGT sensor provision for those who choose to run a Exhaust Gas Temperature probe for keeping an eye on exhaust temps. The benefit to this dump pipe is that it allows the owner to run most turbo GU aftermarket exhaust systems as a direct bolt on or even run the standard OEM

    HPD Turbo upgrade kits are an excellent way to gain safe and reliable power and torque for your vehicle. 

    We use a Garrett turbocharger GT and GTX combined with braided oil and water lines, HPD custom manufactured 3" air intakes and HPD’s custom rear direct fit housing.

    EXHAUST:
    When we designed and built this turbo kit we designed it as a direct fit kit using HPD's rear housing to suit Garretts core allowing us to run garret GT28 turbochargers for performance and reliability. 
    This HPD rear housing gives the ability to utilise the factory or aftermarket dump pipes, with the benefit to this it allows the owner to run most turbo GU aftermarket exhaust systems as a direct bolt on or even run the standard OEM the HPD direct fit rear housing also bolt straight onto the factory turbo manifold allowing for a perfect fitment.

    INTERCOOLING:
    Intercooling your turbo kit is important if you are looking to run more that 8-10psi of boost, however which intercooler to choose depends on a couple of things.
    If you intend on towing a large load, live in a hot arid climate or decide to run a larger turbo option, then we suggest you should run our series 1 450 wide front mount intercooler, our series 2 top mount intercooler or extreme top mount intercooler as they are bigger and capable of a larger volume of air with a higher thermal efficiency operating at these more aggressive conditions.
    Should you be looking to go from non-intercooled to intercooled and upgrading to a Garrett turbo and not looking to push your vehicle past 110-120kw mark and are running our standard turbo option, then a series 1 intercooler should be a good setup.

    We use a Garrett turbocharger combined with braided oil and water lines, HPD CNC machined adaptor flanges, HPD custom manufactured 3" air intakes, custom HPD dump pipes and cast log style manifolds for high flow and OEM reliability.

    EXHAUST:
    When we designed and built this turbo kit we used an OEM style cast log manifold with a T3 base plate design allowing us to run Garrett GTX28/60 GENii turbochargers for performance and reliability. 
    This setup is complimented with a custom HPD 3” dump pipe with an EGT sensor provision for those who choose to run a Exhaust Gas Temperature probe for keeping an eye on exhaust temps. The benefit to this dump pipe is that it allows the owner to run most turbo GU aftermarket exhaust systems as a direct bolt on. These GU systems will have a 3 bolt flange at the base of the dump pipe.

    AIRBOX: 

    This kit has multiple options to suit various airboxs. In standard form this will utilize your GQ Pre filter housing which will require you to install an air filter. Alternatively you can select the kit to suit an upgraded airbox such as the GU or alternatively exclude the inlet piping for other custom airboxes and create your own pipework.
