HPD's Mitsubishi Triton 2.4L intercooler kit (as used by Craig Dontas in the Super Utes racing series) has been designed to withstand extreme conditions, high boost levels and still maintain cool intake temperatures while providing great performance, reliability, consistent and sustainable power on the track.

The Mitsubishi Triton intercooler has seen results with over 600nm of torque and 180+ rwkw's on 35+ psi of boost. With results like this you know the HPD intercooler is up to its name in cooling, durability and performance.

By reducing inlet temperatures, you will also reduce engine running temperatures.

HPD’s Australian made billet CNC machined oil catch can / oil air separators have been designed to reduce the amount of oil from the engines crank case breather entering the intake system.

The issue is with the oil entering the intake system on modern diesel engines fitted with EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) where the exhaust gas valve is commanded by the ECM (engine control module) to open and allow exhaust gasses back into the inlet mixing with the oil that’s been left as a film inside the inlet manifold, thus this process just keeps on repeating itself, causing the issue of the manifold being blocked or clogged reducing the air flow to the engine’s cylinders, resulting in lack of performance, black smoke, engine wear and even engine failure.

HPD has increased the intercooler core size to 450x300x76 helping with cooling efficiency greatly. With the added bonus of shorter piping and quality silicon hoses and clamps.

This kit was designed for 2 reasons, 

The first being the later model NX Pajero on current model. 

The second being that customers who wish to run an aftermarket snorkel on their vehicle cannot use our OCC-B-MP kit as it interferes with the mounting bracket.

Our solution was to move the location of the kit to the firewall on factory mounting points between the windscreen wiper motor and firewall for a neat and easy to maintain catch can. 

Please note: This kit is not compatible with Manual transmission vehicles as there is a clutch cylinder that will interfere with the mounting of this catch can.

The Series 2 Mitsubishi Pajero Intercooler kit is designed for all the guys that want to make increase of torque and power and at the same time those looking for increased reliability, when towing or touring. The kit has been designed to allow a winch to be easily fitted whilst still using the huge SERIES 2 core. HPD has moved the intercooler up higher than the previous first generation kits and changed the piping to run through the radiator support panel. This has allowed the piping to be shortened and reduce the amount of silicone joins as well as further enhancing response.

This Mitsubishi Pajero series 2 intercooler kit responds well with engine tuning. With the cooler intake tempatures produced from HPD's intercooler kit enables a safe increase in torque and power.

HPD's Mitsubishi Pajero direct replacement intercooler kit was designed as the factory intercooler was prone to leaking or being damaged due to it position and design. With HPD's heavy duty cores and tanks this eliminated these issues and gave better efficiency over standard.
