HPD's Heat Exchanger acts as an auxiliary to the two factory heat exchangers and is positioned behind the grille to receive maximum airflow to effectively reduce coolant temperatures that pass through the water-to-air intercooler.

On a previous trip, in similar weather conditions, he experienced considerable power loss.
